We – the users of Twick.it – have a common aim: To create an explain engine which everybody can join and everybody can use. To achieve this aim we observe the following rules which make cooperation in a big community easier.
We support Twick.it.
Twick.it lives on our knowledge and engagement – our explanations, valuations, reporting of misuse, of our constructive criticism, recommendation and new applications. Only through our support the explain engine can deliver good results over a long period of time.
We respect laws.
We accept the terms of Twick.it and respect existing laws and conventions.
We stick to facts.
Even though we know that knowledge and opinion can not always be separated clearly we stay factual when formulating a Twick.
We are fair.
We don’t want to insult, discriminate or slander anybody.
We don’t lie.
We want to avoid spreading half-truths, propaganda, ideologies and lies
We valuate explanations – not people.
We rate a Twick considering its content not our personal relationship to the author.
We respect the opinion of individuals.
We believe that differing explanations may enrich a knowledge data base. Therefore we accept the opinions of other users.
We respect the wisdom and verdict of the many.
All users vote together to detect which Twick explains a topic best.
We make mistakes – and learn from them.
To err is human. Therefore we make an effort to write Twicks with the necessary accuracy. We accept that people make mistakes and are open for criticism and suggestions for improvement.
We don’t manipulate.
We do not use automated routines to manipulate Twick.it and do not try to access unauthorised data (see terms).
We are having fun!
We enjoy our engagement in Twick.it as our cooperation is informative, productive and entertaining. We learn something while we use Twick.it and spread the knowledge gained.
